Imagine a clumsy sci-fi drama about a mother who can’t accept the death of her daughter Zoe (Sophie Alley), played by Julie Delpy, and travels to Moscow to clone her daughter’s pregnancy. But Julie Delpy’s My Zoe is the rare film that mixes two genres that should be incompatible and depicts a sadness that hasn’t been portrayed since Marvel’s The Phantom of Wanda, which I saw in January.” Wanda’s Vision is the story of a grieving Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) who creates a vision of a “clone” (Paul Bettany) and the two “live happily ever after.” Download this stunning movie at 9kmovies in five different langauges. My Zoe is much more grounded in reality than Wanda’s vision, but strangely enough, there are many parallels between this story and the treatment of grief in general.
They can’t honestly listen to each other’s side of the story
In episode 8, “Vanda’s Vision,” a vision speaks to Vanda. My Zoe” begins with this eternal love. Isabella (Delpy) has great affection for Zoey, describing her face and hair in great detail, singing to her at bedtime, and nursing her. Isabella is unable to share custody with her ex-husband James (Richard Armitage), who interferes in Isabella’s life and tries to take complete control of Zoey’s life. Everything changes when Zoe suffers a brain aneurysm and unfortunately loses her life. In the first two acts of the film, Julie Delpy and Richard Armitage surprise us with how distant their relationship is. Even when they are together, they can’t honestly listen to each other’s side of the story. Neither of them puts Zoey first and only thinks of themselves. This, unfortunately, leads to the nanny’s incompetence, which later puts Zoey’s life in danger. Most of the time he spends with Zoey is spent fighting for custody. Enjoy this movie at 9kmovies.
Delpy is an excellent actress who can evoke a lot of emotion with a minimum of dialogue
After Zoey is hospitalized, Delpy and Armitage become increasingly divided in their sympathy for Zoey’s condition. Isabella refuses to accept that Zoe’s death is “over” and that there is more to her story. The story then gradually shifts to a science fiction setting. Isabella takes a sample of Zoe’s cells to Moscow, where she meets Dr. Tom Fisher (Daniel Brühl), a fertility doctor who is trying to create a perfect clone of Zoe.

At first, Fisher is reluctant to cooperate with the experiment, but he senses Isabella’s fear and tries to grant her wish. Some of his ideas seem a bit far-fetched and ambitious, such as cloning a human fetus, but he never gives up his main goal of curing Isabella’s never-ending stage of grief. She wants to get her “own Zoe” back, and she will (literally) do anything to achieve it. Even if it means jeopardizing her illegal activities and those of Dr. Fisher.
No one knows if the surgery will be successful
What is most striking at this point is that Delpy speaks of Zoe in the present tense, even though her daughter is dead and the cloning operation may fail. She struggles to preserve her spirit, and this is the most shocking part of the film at 9kmovies. No one knows if the surgery will be successful, much less if Fisher will end up going to jail. But he will do everything in his power to keep Zoe alive in his heart, to bring her back to life, and to make her live the life God intended for her.
You would think that anyone who has experienced
In the first shot of the film at 9kmovies, we see the results of the treatment of Isabella’s surrogate mother, Laura Fisher, played by Gemma Arterton. However, we don’t know how Isabella will go on her journey, or if the healing journey will take place without Zoe’s return. Imagine you are a parent, of any age, who has lost a child. It causes unbearable pain that no one wants to experience. You would think that anyone who has experienced such a tragedy would do anything to get their child back. As long as her cloned human, Zoe, is born safely, Isabella will not have to suffer anymore. Her Zoe will come back. We are.
